Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico John and his family relocated to St. Petersburg in 1993 to be near All Children’s Hospital for his sister with Down Syndrome who was born with heart complications. John early on was exposed to the performing arts programs through school and took a focus on music where he played Classical and Jazz Trumpet winning multiple state superior designations and other musical accolades over the years. In 1998 the Pereira Family adopted a 2nd special needs child from Bosnia who would not have received proper care if left in her home country. The 2nd of 5 siblings John understood very early on that the care for his sisters would one day be passed to him igniting a drive that can’t be described. 

John started his real estate career at the young age of 19, jumping right in and assisting in the management of a 100+ property Sec 8 rental portfolio spread throughout the Tampa Bay Area. In 2010 he earned his Sales Associate License and began selling real estate, over a 4-year period he held his license with Coldwell Banker, Century 21, and Keller Williams quickly realizing none of these were a place for him. 

With a passion for investment real estate John founded Imperio Real Estate LLC in 2014 with a focus on property management and investment properties, utilizing creative deal a financing structures for fix and flip, Fix and Hold, and ground up construction of single-family homes with the latter resulting in an HGTV show hosted by one of Imperio’s agents, Yamika McGee Kleinschmidt. He currently manages a 15 person team at Imperio with 130 doors under management, most of which is run remotely. With a data driven approach John assists his team members and clients in targeting and their real estate portfolios. 

With commercial development and management aspirations John was introduced to John Lee in late 2021 and knew immediately with his background and experience he was the perfect addition to the team to see his vision through. Managing property through COVID-19 John quickly realized he can run the entire management process remotely leveraging emerging technology. Quickly hiring 3 rock star virtual assistants and 2 full time remote maintenancecoordinatorshehasdonejustthat. 

When he not running his team John enjoys time with his family, Playing Golf, attending boxing events, and watching Formula 1. John and his wife Vanessa reside in the St Petersburg area raising 4 beautiful loving children 13, 8, 3, 1 (and one on the way!)
